Mentor Learning or The Popular Learning Center?
We Tutor Individuals Rather Than Groups: At franchised learning centers students are tested (an additional fee), grouped three or four to a teacher, and use the center's standardized work sheets and proprietary booklets. The tutor has little to do but supervise the children and help if they get stuck.
Mentor Learning state-certified tutors work one-on-one in your home or wherever the child feels most comfortable. Our tutors use materials from your child's class, and they make sure your child understands their schoolwork. No distractions means you get the most for your tutoring dollar.
Economical: Your child enjoys the entire tutoring hour one-on-one with a Mentor Learning tutor. The hourly investment is about the same as that charged by a popular learning center, but your child recieves three or four times the service for approximately the same investment.
Better Learning Opportunity: Students are typically more comfortable in their own homes rather than at a noisy tutoring center. Although the learning center’s student/teacher ratio is better than the usual classroom ratio, some students are distracted or held back from their best learning potential by the presence of others. In the home, your student feels comfortable asking questions and receiving corrections from their own tutor.
Convenient: There is no travel time, and parents can be productive in their own homes (as contrasted with parents looking for ways to use their time well while waiting for their child at a tutoring center). If you do not want tutoring in the home, we will come to your work, a library, or a coffee shop. Mentor Learning LLC tutors will travel wherever it is most convenient for you.
